Welcome to Dunsmore Elementary School, home of the Hilltoppers!

Dunsmore is an elementary school with Kindergarten through sixth-grade classes. Our school has a 50/50 Japanese dual language immersion program and a traditional English-only program. Both are essential parts of our community.

At Dunsmore, we strive to provide our students with a nurturing and challenging academic experience. Student successes are celebrated and every student is encouraged to do their very best! Our goal is to create a learning environment that is both challenging and safe for all students. Our Hilltoppers are encouraged to try things and understand that making mistakes is part of the learning process.

We have a very active parent community at Dunsmore as well. Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and the Dunsmore Elementary School Foundation (DESF) work together to add to what our school district already provides. Parent volunteers assist with projects to support the school and, when appropriate, help in classrooms. 

Dunsmore ROCKS!  The Dunsmore school community constantly strives to develop students who model Respect, Ownership, Cooperation, Kindness, and Safety. We will look for students who model these characteristics throughout our school year as part of our Positive Behavior and Intervention System (PBIS) behavior expectations.
